Tour insurance

Cover built around
the trip you booked.

Travel insurance is the part of a booking nobody enjoys thinking about, and the part that matters most on the one trip it goes wrong. We arrange it alongside your tickets and your visa, so it is handled before you leave rather than remembered at the airport.

Why it matters

The cheapest line on the invoice

A night in a Dubai or Singapore hospital costs more than most of the trips we book, and it is payable before you leave the building. So is a departure you miss once the tickets, the hotel deposits and the visa fees are already spent.

Insurance is the smallest thing on a booking and the only part of it that pays you back. Most travellers never use it. The ones who do rarely stop at a small claim.

What's usually covered

The things a policy is actually for

Medical & emergencies

Hospital treatment abroad, emergency dental, and repatriation home if you are too unwell to fly commercially.

Cancellation & cutting short

The money you have already paid out, when illness, a bereavement or a refused visa stops you travelling — or sends you home early.

Baggage & belongings

Luggage that is lost, damaged or delayed, plus the essentials you have to buy while you wait for it to catch up.

Delays & missed departures

Meals and a bed when a flight is held, and the cost of rebooking when a late inbound leg makes you miss the next one.

Families & groups

One policy covering everyone on the booking, which is usually cheaper than insuring each traveller separately.

Add-ons where you need them

Adventure and winter sports, higher limits for valuables, longer trips, and declared pre-existing conditions where the insurer allows.

Limits, excesses and exclusions differ between insurers, and every policy has them. We'll send you the full wording before you pay anything and tell you plainly what isn't covered.

How it works

Three steps, one phone call

A fortnight in Dubai with two children and a six-month student move to Melbourne need very different cover — different medical limits, different baggage, different lengths of stay. So we quote against the itinerary we are already booking for you, and you end up with what the trip needs and none of what it doesn't.

  1. 1

    Tell us the trip

Where you are going, your dates, who is travelling, and anything that needs declaring — a condition, a laptop, a ski pass.

  2. 2

    We come back with options

A shortlist that actually fits, with the premium and the policy wording, so you can see what is covered before you decide.

  3. 3

You are covered before you fly

The certificate is issued and emailed to you — in time for the embassy appointment, when that is what it is for.

Applying for a visa?

Most embassies want the certificate with the file

Schengen applications require travel medical insurance meeting a set minimum, and several other missions ask for proof of cover too. If we are filing your visa, the policy is arranged in the same run — one less document to chase the week before your appointment.

Destination, dates and who's travelling is enough to start. We'll come back with options and the wording — and if it is easier to talk it through, call us.
